Our first ensemble, 108:1b

Our Irmo studio has WI-FI.

Music Makers is well known as a fmailiy friendly studio.
We also are known as the best studio for learning to become
an independent musician.  We teach theory and technique
as well as working on performance.  Are students are not
taught to copyo the teacher - they are taught to understand
what they are doing so they can make music on their own.
This sets us apart from other studios.

We have convenient locations in  Irmo, Chapin and
Lexington, SC.  Our teachers are well qualified in
content and theory, as well as performance.  Teachers
are clear and concise, yet warm and encouraging.

We teach adults, teens and children.

We have fun at Music Makers, but we are also
serious musicians and take our position seriously.  Every
student is taught music theory as part of their instruction.
(The more we understand about music, the better we
perform.)  With the view of giving the most possible
satisfaction to this experience, all students will study
theory as they master their instrument.

We provide at least three opportunities for public
performance each year.  There is an annual recital in July.
Students are encouraged, but not required to perform.
In December we have parties at local restaurants,
and in the spring we take groups of students to
nursing homes in order to reach out to others and also provide
another opportunity for public performance.

To sign up for lessons, give us a call (803) 781-3344 or
email us, musicmakers@sc.twcbc.com.

If you are on vacation and have Internet access, we can still
do your lesson.  We have started doing online lessons with
traveling students and it has worked out well!!  If you are a
piano student, you need to have a keyboard and your computer.
Those who study other instruments need to have them available
for the online lesson.

$90 per month
.  The cost is the same each month, whether
you have 4 or 5 lessons.  This averages out to $21 per lesson.
There is no refund if you do not come.  (Teachers are there
even if you aren't!)  But we do try to provide make up lessons.

We are open Monday - Wednesday of Thanksgiving week but
closed Thursday - Saturday of that week, and closed the last
2 weeks of December.  Closed for Memorial Day, Fourth of July,

We stay open for most of the Monday National Holidays to give

During the months of June - August you tell us when you plan
to be at lessons and y
ou are charged only for the lessons you
schedule.

You are expected to have an instrument at home for practice.

Other expenses are lesson books (cost varies by instrument),
a metronome, and (for guitar) a guitar tuner.

AGES:

PIANO:  5 years through adults

VIOLIN, VIOLA, CELLO:  5 years through adults

GUITAR:  8 years through adults

RECORDER:   7 years through adults

VOICE:   7 years through adults

We will teach children younger than the ages specified,
on a case by case basis.
We will interview the student
to make sure he/she is ready and motivated.  I
f a
student is not ready, music lessons will become a negative

experience!  And we do not want that to happen.

Our students visit nursing homes every March or April, playing their
instruments or singing.  Sometimes some of the teachers also perform.
The residents love seeing and hearing us!   It is a good thing to bless
others.

In December we have Music Makers parties/recitals at
local restaurants.

The Music Makers Annual Recital 2017 will be on
July 17 at 6:00

at St. Andrews Evangelical Church.

We accept credit cards, checks or cash.
